JAMIE M. TRAPP
Jamie M. Trapp was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. Jamie grew up in a blue-collar working class neighborhood in the city. He attended high school in Chicago and graduated from DePaul University Law School. Since 1981, Jamie has concentrated as his specialty of practice the representation of injured persons due to the negligence of another. Jamie M. Trapp has represented clients throughout the state of Illinois who have been seriously injured due to car accidents, construction site negligence, medical malpractice, unsafe products, and other types of injury-related litigation.
Within five years after graduating from law school, Jamie had obtained verdicts and settlements that were widely reported in Chicago and national news publications. Recently he negotiated a settlement for $8 million dollars for a woman given the wrong medication in an emergency room of a local hospital. At the beginning of another recent trial, he settled with a hospital and physician for $10,000,000.00 for injuries to a newborn infant.
Jamie M. Trapp has been the seminar planning Chairman for the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association which provides continuing legal education to attorneys practicing in the area. In 2002 Jamie was editor of "Automobile Litigation in Illinois." He was awarded the "President's Award" in 2002 from the Illinois Trial Lawyer's Association in recognition of his service to that organization.
Since 2005, and every year there after, Jamie M. Trapp has been named an Illinois SuperLawyer - a distinction that is awarded to the top 5% of all Illinois attorneys in his concentration of personal injury. This peer review rating is the highest rating that can be achieved pertaining to ethical standards and legal ability.
